Jeep made a splash last year when it unveiled a ground-up redesign for its world-famous Wrangler. The Wrangler was all-new for the first time in a decade, offering updated performance, style, comfort, and more. The Wrangler JL came as a concerted effort to improve the age-old formula in nearly every way, and the critics liked what they saw.

Among the praise and accolades the new Wrangler received, one stands out. Motor Trend selected the new Wrangler as its 2019 SUV of the year.

"Behold the latest evolution of a seven-decades-old design, a soul-stirring affirmation of freedom, a surprisingly groundbreaking vehicle that shouldn't work in the 21st century as well as it does," the review states.

You don't have to squint to see why Motor Trend picked the new Wrangler -- its advantages are abundant. Motor Trend itself included a broad swathe of the Wrangler's features in its own write-up, so we're going to pick out a few favorites of our own.

Looks: The new Wrangler JL keeps classic styling cues like the seven-slot grille, but adds light adjustments to bring it into the modern space.

Powertrains: The popular 3.6-liter V6 remains, but the new Wrangler also now offers an available 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 295 pound-feet of torque.

Body Styles: The old Wrangler Unlimited model is gone. Instead, there's just one Wrangler that's available in both two-door and four-door configurations.

There's much more to love in the new Wrangler, so come check it out here at Twin City Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram.
