Jeep Wrangler Wows at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas for an Eighth Straight Year

October 29 was a big day to "Go Anywhere, Do Anything" at the Las Vegas Convention Center as the Specialty Equipment Market Association awarded our automaker's iconic compact SUV the status of "4x4/SUV of the Year" once more. This time, it was for model year 2018. The long-awaited SEMA Vehicle Reveal event upheld the position of Jeep Wrangler as the only vehicle to earn that honor since the SEMA Awards began in 2010.

Needless to say, this Lafayette, IN Jeep dealer can see why. It's expertly customizable: we were excited to see, for instance, just over 200 Jeep Performance Parts and accessories introduced last year. In fact, the SEMA Show exhibitors might agree with that judgment. By their estimations, Wrangler was and is the "most accessory-friendly vehicle in its class."

But the big question on everyone's minds around town is how this bodes for the new Trail Rated® 2019 Jeep Wrangler, soon to appear here at Twin City Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. The latest model will almost certainly continue the seven-decade Jeep commitment to craftsmanship excellence. After all, 2018's celebrated 285-horsepower, 3.6-liter Pentastar® engine will come standard, as will a highly-efficient yet confidently powerful turbocharged 270-horsepower, 2.0-liter I4 with eTorque tech come available. That's not to mention 4x4 system options from Select-Trac and Command-Trac to the hardcore Rock-Trac, available throughout the lineup. There'll even be a few high-tech elements in the mix, ranging from Uconnect® touchscreen infotainment to standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Only time and a test drive will give us a clearer answer. Stay tuned for further details, and be sure to visit our showroom here on Sagamore Parkway South to get the firsthand 2018 Wrangler experience while we wait!
